How understanding develops.

Begin with the needs of people receiving care, then examine diagnosis, specialist roles and emerging technology. Each part builds a wider understanding of healthcare.

01

Community & elderly care

Begin with prevention and long-term care. Observe how care teams support daily needs, and discuss why communication matters in nursing and community health.

02

Diagnostics & medical imaging

Examine how illness is investigated. Use simulated exercises and example scans to connect biology, chemistry and physics with diagnostic work.

03

Hospital teams & medication safety

See how hospital roles work together through observation or simulation. Check mock prescriptions and discuss accuracy, communication and patient safety.

04

Rehabilitation, nutrition & oral health

Extend the focus to recovery and ongoing health. Compare how physiotherapy, dietetics and oral healthcare support these needs through demonstrations and simulations.

05

Healthcare technology & innovation

Look ahead to developments in healthcare. See technology demonstrations and discuss how engineering and computer science contribute alongside medicine.
